Activities

  Weekly meetings

Every Thursday the members of the AAS have meeting for two hours where one of the members gives speech on the researches and answers the related question. We put the summaries and topics of the speeches in this page every week.

  Public observations

During the whole Iranian year (March 20, 2000-March 20, 2001) we have observational programs in AAS where the citizens can participate free of charge and observe the sky. The time is scheduled for when the Moon is in the sky; because it is very interesting for those who do the observation for the first time.

  Observation programs for members

During the Iranian year, there are twelve observing programs for the members of AAS among which seven are in the city (each for ten hours) and five outside the city

  Exhibition

The extension of the activities made us start our permanent astronomy exhibition in Esfahan in 1997. The exhibition is visited by the students everyday. Due to the limitation of the space of the exhibition place and interest of the students, we had to appoint the visiting time; and sometime the students will have to wait for one/two months in order to be able to visit the AAS.
